Boothbay Harbor

WOWOWEE! I am in the midst of experiencing my first real Canadian winter with temperatures around -10 to 15 degrees Celsius (feels like more with all the wind), and I've got to say it makes me feel accomplished, in a way. Haha! I do not enjoy the extreme cold and the biting wind, but I do get some satisfaction out of bundling up and feeling warm outside. It's like saying, "Take that, winter!" :P

These outfit photos were taken last year in December but they quite accurately reflect how I've been dressing during these freezing winter days. I usually select simple, cozy and comfortable clothes that are really easy to throw on in the morning. I love this outfit in particular because it is so cute and the extra large crewneck sweater makes me feel like I'm all bundled up.

As I have just mentioned, I'm wearing a crewneck sweater from a gift shop in Maine. I got it in a size small but I think it is unisex so it fits pretty baggy on me, which I absolutely love! Even though the material looks and feels like towel fabric (hahaha) I still love it because it is so warm. I also love the cute little sailboat on it. Chunky knit winter accessories are a staple in this kind of weather. I have been religiously wearing all my thick scarves as well as my warm knit mittens. I could not be without them!

My bottoms are just plain navy leggings from Hollister. I wear these leggings all the time and I love them (how many times have I said 'love' in this blog post?!) but I wish they didn't have the massive Hollister embroidery at the lower back. :S You can't spot it in this outfit because my sweater covers it but I prefer it to be plain. I wore my beloved Sperrys to complete this winter version of a nautical look.

I hope you liked this outfit post - definitely let me know what you think of it in the comments. And most importantly to my fellow Canadians,  please keep warm! We don't want any frostbitten phalanges. All right, I wish you all a superfantastic day! :)
